Chatting on the Moors

I have spent some time recently on the moors in North Wales. Two of the typical moorland species I've been photographing are Stonechat and Whinchat. This is an ongoing project with lots more images to come, here are a few taken so far.

Whinchat

Back in April I had the pleasure of spending an hour or so photographing a male Whinchat. A moorland breeding species that is not usually an easy bird to photograph. Like the Willow Warblers in my previous post, this was another good result for this years spring photography. A few here of the 25 added to my main web site.

Photo of the Day - Male Whinchat

Taken today. A frustrating day with my target species being rather elusive. This male Whinchat was a bonus and posed for about five minutes, letting me move in closer and get a clear background.
